Welcome to a shiny, sugary corner of fandom Hell! Fresh scones and tea for all, I say!

On a more serious note, or as serious as one can get with such things, I'm Soda (or just So for short.) My pronouns are 'she/her' or 'they/them' depending upon the day? Some days I feel more genderfluid than others, I apologize. I'm also a Libra (born Oct. 6th) and a demisexual who happens to also be pan-romantic.

As you can tell, I obviously possess an interest in mermaid and all things mythical. Folklore and mythology in general have always fascinated me and I firmly believe that they're an important part of both history and cultural studies. Religion is also a favorite of my studies.

I have too many fandoms to list here. They range from video games to animation to books and movies. Expressing myself as a fan is important to me and I hope to share my thoughts and ideas with fellow fans and writers alike! This journal is just a depository for those writings and any challenges that inspire them.

Thanks and have fun browsing!

So, I just beat the entirety of MSQ for Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers, and I must say, what an enjoyable experience this game was! The music, the visuals and the characters are what really did it for me. Challenging raids and trials alike! I couldn't be happier with the outcome of the Warrior's struggle, too.

One thing I don't understand within the fandom, though, is why players like Emet-Selch so much?

Sure, he rescued Y'shtola. Helped in other myriad ways, too, but his end-goal is nothing but destruction. The 'Big Bad' in almost every Final Fantasy game makes the mistake of trying to play God and judge the rest of mankind or whatnot. Why would you like a character who does these things?

Guess I'll never quite understand the appeal behind it? To each their own!

Great game, though. :D

Sorry for the impromptu excitement but...my copy of the BBB stage play, Beat Goes On, finally came in the mail today! I just finished watching it and I am so, so glad that I shelled out the money to buy it! Brilliant performances by all players, musicians, and dancers. I just wish there were more to indulge in because it was true to the spirit of the original anime and manga series.

Irreverent and dark humor, zany antics, breakneck pace, and just plain ole' character love, Beat Goes On has it all.

So proud to count myself among the many BBB fans out there, I'm sure! Would highly recommend buying the stage play if you're a fan, too! Well worth the money!
